About me
Suman Karumuri is Founder and CEO of KalDB and author of KalDB, an open source serverless Lucene platform. He is co-author of the OpenTracing/OpenTelemetry specification and was previously tech lead of Zipkin. Over the past decade, he has built and ran petabyte-scale log search, distributed tracing, and metrics systems at Slack, Airbnb, Pinterest, and Twitter. His work focuses on building scalable, cost-efficient observability infrastructure for large distributed systems.
